"Flava-ful" CNN Headline News
According to a New York Daily News report, an internal
CNN Headline News memo recommends writers use a slang dictionary
to add new "flava" to headlines and ticker copy.
Among the approved hip hop phrases: "jimmy hat,"
meaning condom; "fly," meaning cool; and "ill,"
meaning the state of Illinois.
